Paralympics: Anything is Possible

Paralympics: Cerebral Palsy Football

Russia, Ukraine and Iran are the global football powers of cerebral palsy 7-a-side football.  However GB, ranked 7th in the world, aim to break their hold at the 2012 Paralympics.

Home advantage

Great Britain need to overcome defending champions Ukraine, USA and Brazil to progress from their group, if they want to fulfil their dream of a medal.  GB will of course have home support and also Ibs Diallo, a potential star of London 2012.  The 19-year-old student from Bristol was only diagnosed with cerebral palsy earlier this year and fast-tracked into the 7-a-side team, where he made a telling impact at the BT Paralympic World Cup, scoring seven goals in that tournament.

Experienced Team

This explosive young talent, together with the experience of players like Martin Heselton, who was left with a brain injury following a car accident and Matt Dimbylow, who was part of the GB team which finished seventh in the Beijing Paralympics 2008, give GB a chance of making the podium.

“Anything’s Possible”

Team member Martin Sinclair, brother of Swansea City winger Scott refuses to bow to the form book,

“There’s no such thing as can’t," said the 24-year-old. "I was in a wheelchair for three-and-a-half years and I didn’t think I would be playing.  Anything’s possible when you get on that field.”

What our clients say

We know that we have been extremely fortunate to have had such a consummate PI lawyer in Andy acting on our behalf but we have also been blessed by having had his support, trust, friendship and loyalty throughout. We cannot ever thank him enough.

The compensation Nicola has received has helped her move from a tiny council flat into a massive bungalow which has been specifically adapted. It has enabled her to have a better life.

If it was not for the help of my solicitor I don't know where I would have been today. He provided a great deal of emotional support and secured compensation at various stages from the insurance company to fund my treatment and allow me to live. He was there from start to finish.

Higgs & Sons acted for us for 5 years until our daughters claim for personal injuries was finally settled. Ian remains a trustee of our daughters trust fund and we now look upon him as a friend.
