Who are you now?

Better emergency medicine means that the number of people surviving a brain injury after a severe head injury or stroke are increasing substantially.  Unfortunately the long term support for these survivors is not keeping up with growing demand and very often they end up with for example around 60% of them long term unemployed.  A lack of public understanding does not help with many of a survivor’s problems hidden from view, leading to prejudice and intolerance.

Who are you now?

The charity Headway supports survivors of brain injury from across the country with services such as advocacy and therapies.  The latest project run by the Headway East London branch, is a blog called www.whoareyounow.org which aims to help survivors regain their voices and the confidence to use them.  So the public can understand far better the impact of brain injury which could affect anyone of us.

Head Injury UK: Head Injury Claim Experts

At Head Injury UK our brain injury solicitors support the aim of the Who are you now? project to raise public awareness of head injury and the crucial need for survivors to be supported properly.  We hope that the blog is a great success.  If you or a loved one has received a head or brain injury as a result of someone else's fault and want to discuss it, please contact Andy Shaw or call on 0800 073 0988 to see how we can help you.

What our clients say

We know that we have been extremely fortunate to have had such a consummate PI lawyer in Andy acting on our behalf but we have also been blessed by having had his support, trust, friendship and loyalty throughout. We cannot ever thank him enough.

The compensation Nicola has received has helped her move from a tiny council flat into a massive bungalow which has been specifically adapted. It has enabled her to have a better life.

If it was not for the help of my solicitor I don't know where I would have been today. He provided a great deal of emotional support and secured compensation at various stages from the insurance company to fund my treatment and allow me to live. He was there from start to finish.

Higgs & Sons acted for us for 5 years until our daughters claim for personal injuries was finally settled. Ian remains a trustee of our daughters trust fund and we now look upon him as a friend.
